Senior IT/Security Engineer - LAC Group

Location: Canada - Virtual - Remote

LAC Group is seeking a Senior IT/Security Engineer for its Moncton, NB office to work closely with its Clients, Executives and Team Leaders. The position is primarily located in Moncton, NB but we will consider candidates outside of this area to work virtually from anywhere in the US or Canada if they meet the requirements. Required Years of Experience: 5+ years, or 10+ years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education

Responsibilities:

• Support and manage Office 365 and/or Google Workspaces services and tools, including but not limited to configurations, policies, security.
• Implement and manage Endpoint systems management systems such as Microsoft Intune, or Google Endpoint Management.
• Analyze and resolve tier 2/3 incidents and service requests.
• Assist with development of security policies, including implementation plans and governance.
• Assist with creation, assessment, and exercising business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Implement and manage on-premise and cloud data back up solutions.
• Implement IT security controls and monitor systems for threat identification.
• Understanding of networking technologies such as, TCPIP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls.
• Ensuring high levels of systems and infrastructure availability.

• Possible future on-call support rotation.

Requirements:

• College diploma or University degree in IT Computer Systems, Cybersecurity certification, or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years' experience in IT, Technical Support, or Cybersecurity.
• Broad experience in the following areas: PC/laptop hardware, software, telecommunications, mobile devices, networking, and Cybersecurity.
• Proven written, oral and listening communication skills with audiences varying from end users to IT management.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience working on and prioritizing multiple concurrent initiatives.

Would be an Asset:

• Experience with Salesforce administration or development
• Experience with security control frameworks such as, NIST, GDPR, HIPPA, SOC2.
• Experience with automation tools such as, Power Automate, Boomi, Mulesoft.
• Experience implementing security controls in support of SOC 2 or GDPR.
