Reference & Instruction Librarian for Business - LMU

Location: USA - CA - Los Angeles

Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California, seeks an energetic, self-directed and collaborative Reference and Instruction Librarian for Business who will provide high-quality reference, instruction, collection development, and outreach services to the LMU community, with a particular emphasis on LMU’s College of Business Administration. The position is available immediately.

Reporting to the Head of Reference & Instruction Services, the Reference and Instruction Librarian for Business will serve as lead provider of library instruction to undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Business Administration, create web-based instructional materials, and provide occasional library instruction sessions for other academic departments. This position includes reference and technology support via chat, email, phone, web conferencing and in-person shifts at the Information Desk. The Reference and Instruction Librarian for Business will work with the Head of Collection Development to evaluate collections and make purchase decisions for books, journals, and electronic resources in business and related subjects. The successful candidate must have a degree, background, or interest in business, accounting, economics, or a related field and be willing to continue upgrading their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
