Librarian I (Live Oak/ Arcadia)

Location: USA - CA - Los Angeles

LAC Group is seeking a Librarian for a temporary (3-4 months) position working onsite at public libraries in Live Oak/Arcadia, CA. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) that will last approximately 4 months. A require a Master’s of Library Science from an ALA accredited university is required.

Note: Employee must pass a fingerprint background clearance prior to beginning employment with library.

Responsibilities:

• Provide reference desk assistance and help patrons with various reference requests;
• Assist patrons with computers and with other technology needs;
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with a diverse community;

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Library Science (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA accredited university is required (transcripts must be provided);
• Previous experience working with a variety of reference requests;
• Previous experience working in a public library environment is a plus;
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with varied public.
