Legal Research Analyst - LAC Group

Location: USA - DC - Washington DC

LAC Group seeks a Legal Research Analyst for a renowned international law firm’s office in Washington DC. The position will be responsible for conducting legal research as well as some additional light law library duties. This is a full-time benefited hybrid position (up to 3 days a week remote).

RESPONSIBILITES

• Conduct high-level, customizable research and analytics in legal, business and other subjects.
• Provide practice, subject, and/or industry research in areas aligned with the firm’s practice and business.
• Provide training on research strategies and resources.
• Develop and deliver presentations to attorney practice groups, colleagues and other departments on research tools and current developments.
• Advise on collection development including new databases, websites and print material.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 2 years of experience as a researcher in a law firm library or similar corporate environment
• MLS or JD preferred, though work experience or a similar or related degree may take the place of MLS/JD
• Experience with a variety of legal research tools including (nut not limited to) Lexis, Westlaw, Factiva, Capital IQ, Intelligize, etc.
