Business Analyst Intern - LAC Group

Location: USA - NY - New York

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to gain valuable experience where they can make an impact for an organization dedicated to bring more value to our client’s bottom line. The intern will work with our team in LAC's New York, NY office.

This position will deliver value on business related projects with a focus on data analysis, data manipulation, and data cleaning in Excel. LAC Spend Management is looking for a self-starter to support our client projects as an Excel guru using data to drive smart business decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Manage complex data sets and analyze business needs to develop business plans and metrics to make recommendations that drive strategic decisions
  • Develop dashboards to empower team members with information
  • Use creative analysis skills to develop insights into complex questions
  • Work with business intelligence tools and be comfortable accessing and working with data from multiple sources, and passionately partner with the business to identify strategic opportunities and deliver results.
  • Identify cutting-edge analytical tools, models, and methods for making key business decisions

Qualifications
  • 3rd or 4th year student enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program
  • Advanced Excel user
  • Analytical and quantitative skills
  • Comfortable using databases with a large-scale data set
  • Ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferred Majors: Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, or similar field
