Webmaster - LAC Group

Location: USA - DC - Washington DC

LAC Group is seeking a Webmaster for a position with a prestigious government library located in Washington, DC. This is a long-term full-time (40 hours a week; Monday to Friday) contract opportunity with benefits. This role is required to be performed on-site.

  • Maintain and update the backend of the Library websites and keep them running smoothly. This includes designing, building, and implementing new Web pages and sites
  • Work with multiple internal divisions to enhance Web pages and respond to user needs
  • Use the Web and social media platforms to deliver and promote library services and collections
  • Collaborate with outside vendors as needed
  • Manage databases and ebooks
  • Provide reference support to internal and external users
  • Collaborate with Library staff on projects as needed

  • Must have an MLS from an ALA-accredited institution
  • Position requires 3 years’ experience providing website support
  • Experience with SharePoint in a workplace setting
  • Prior experience training staff on new resources
  • Experience using social media to promote Library services
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a motivated and productive team
  • Must have excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work with emerging technologies and learn new skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
