Senior Knowledge Management Analyst - LAC Group

Location: USA - DE - Wilmington

LAC Group seeks a Senior Knowledge Management Analyst for a large, renowned manufacturing organization with offices in the Philadelphia PA/Wilmington DE area. The Senior Knowledge Management Analyst will be responsible for leading the Information Science and Knowledge Management team within the Information and Data Sciences department. This is a full-time benefited hybrid position (relocation assistance is available) that will work onsite with some remote work.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Steer a team of to manage a content portfolio for the company: incorporating feedback and unmet needs in an annual planning cycle
  • Works with IT and Data Management teams to understand the product’s vision, its business value, and how to realize that business value through development of communication and training programs.
  • Use data-driven models to develop KPIs for the information competency: subscription metrics, consultations, researcher contributions
  • Partner with subscription vendors to deliver against agreed upon KPIs; also create custom seminars, targeted promotions, and support models for the research community
  • Create and deliver internal training programming to drive researcher efficiency and effectiveness
  • As the key contact for reference queries, provide guidance on research techniques and search strategy to self-service users
  • Own/Manage the technical applications that support the information science competency, namely: website(s), Single-Sign On (SSO) platform, link resolver
  • Implement and support Knowledge Management Systems for R&D.
  • Perform requirements gathering for transformation into technical documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • MS in Information Science/Information Technology is required. A degree in Science or Engineering (or equivalent) would also be considered.
  • At least 5+ years of project management in a KM or library technology department in a corporate or scientific environment. At least 2+ years of managing staff, contracts, etc.
  • Strong background in knowledge management, contract management, and network-building
  • Experience in working with library technology platforms, especially hosted websites, single sign on environments.
  • Experience evaluating searching behaviors, taxonomy, metadata, and indexing to develop effective web sites and knowledge management
  • Strong data analysis skills, to include data modeling, dashboard development, and trend evaluation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of network-building within a technical community, especially in a global environment
  • Familiarity with Library Management Systems and electronic content management solutions
  • Demonstrated project management skills including ability to apply frameworks and methodologies such as Agile and SCRUM throughout a project’s lifecycle.
