Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A - LAC Group

Location: Canada - Virtual - Remote

LAC Group is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A to join our growing team! The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A plays a key role in the execution of daily finance and reporting responsibilities for the Company. The Company is a rapidly growing, professional services firm that provides services to law firms, and is private equity backed by Renovus Capital Partners. To date, the Company consists of LAC Group, Wilson Allen, HBR Consulting, Aurora North, and Younts Consulting, and has operations globally in the U.S., Canada, and the UK. This role will report to the Director of FP&A and assist with FP&A globally. The Senior Financial Analyst role is located in Canada, and is fully remote.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Annual Budget
    • Prepare analysis and reporting of annual budget for Executive and Senior Leadership Teams
  • Forecasts
    • Prepare analysis and reporting of forecast variances for Executive and Senior Leadership Teams
  • Corporate Reporting
    • Monthly analysis of consolidated results to budget and forecast
    • Quarterly assist with the preparation of the external reporting package and Board reporting package
  • Ad hoc Analysis and Reporting
    • Sensitivity and scenario testing to evaluate the impact of business decisions on debt metrics and key performance metrics
  • Other duties and projects as required
Your Qualifications:
  • CPA or CFA designation is an asset
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting or audit
  • Experience with financial modelling is strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a big 4 advisory group or investment banking is preferred
  • Expert level in powerpoint and the creation of charts and graphs
  • Experience working with large amounts of data preferred
  • Experience working with Power BI or Tableau is a plus
  • Participate in M&A planning and integration
  • Experience with Netsuite is an asset
  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office, advanced Excel Skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work effectively
  • Ability to take initiative and work proactively
  • Ability to negotiate in tactful and diplomatic manner using superior oral and written communication skills
  • Deadline and performance driven
  • Detail oriented, efficient and accurate
