Sales & User Engagement Manager - LAC Group

Location: USA - NY - New York

LAC Group seeks a Sales and User Engagement Manager for a large legal and consulting client in either the New York or Washington DC office. The Sales Manager will be responsible for providing a critical client services role with the client’s online subscription service providing content and subject matter experts. The service features curated and exclusive content that is available only to client subscribers, including but not limited to regular updates on key federal and state health policy activity, detailed summaries of federal guidance, 50-state surveys, data-driven analytic content and more. Content includes multimedia, data visualizations, infographics, webinars, white papers and more.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead sales function to target, engage and close deals
  • Achieve recurring monthly revenue goals from broad range of client types
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and ongoing account management to ensure subscription renewals
  • Develop sales playbook/process to support predictable, recurring monthly revenue goals
  • Develop internal and client-facing communication and outreach strategy, including multimedia (social media, podcasts, web pages, blog posts, etc.)
  • Train and coach sales staff on pitching, messaging, negotiating/objection handling and closing as appropriate
  • Attend key conferences, trade shows and other networking activities to represent services to industry and potential subscribers and increase visibility
  • Participate in strategic planning and vision, with key input on revenue growth and industry positioning
  • Work closely with marketing, client relationship managers and practice leadership to build lead generation and identify upselling opportunities
  • Oversee use of Salesforce to manage sales process for clients and prospects
  • Conduct effective and compelling product demonstrations
  • Assume full responsibility and serve as the key point of contact for subscriber engagement, subscriber retention and subscriber experience
  • Manage subscriber life cycle, including by operationalizing and optimizing the journey from subscriber onboarding, engagement, retention to win-back
  • Identify key contacts and decision makers within a subscriber organization and develop and maintain strong relationships with those contacts
  • Provide customer feedback to other parts of the organization (i.e., content and technology leads, practice leadership) regarding product or content issues
  • Lead the development of marketing communications across subscriber segments to drive compelling user experiences, greater usage and deeper product engagement
  • Develop and drive a data-centric approach that leverages user engagement analytics to inform content development and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and content consumption

Qualifications and Skills:
  • 5+ years of relevant sales and user engagement experience; experience and interest in the healthcare industry is a plus
  • Master's degree from a leading institution in a relevant area of study preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Strong client-facing skills with demonstrated experience in developing and managing client relationships
  • Experience and proficiency in using Salesforce
  • Proven ability to forecast and exceed revenue targets
  • Proven experience making complex, consultative sales and selling subscription-based content services
  • Demonstrated success leveraging marketing to generate leads
  • Proven track record in successfully managing subscriber relationships and maximizing subscriber engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to use analytics in the development and operationalization of targeted user engagement strategies
