Remote Contract Researcher - LAC Group
Location: Canada - Virtual - Remote
LAC Group is seeking an enthusiastic Remote Contract Researcher to join our project team that is currently researching local regulations and policies related to the cannabis industry in the U.S. for a corporate client. This is a remote full-time position that can be based in the US or Canada and is expected to run at least 4-6 months (possibly longer).RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Scanning U.S. municipal and state cannabis regulations and adding relevant regulations to a tracking report
- Identifying certain requirements within those regulations and creating audit or checklist questions based on those requirements
- Implementing feedback and edits from the client
- Updating and maintain the data on an ongoing basis
- 1-3 years of experience with market research or corporate research in a corporate or legal environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with major legal and business research platforms, public records resources, competitive intelligence tools, regulations/regulatory language and state and federal legal information sources.
- Bachelor’s Degree is required. MLIS degree is a plus.
- Proficient in a variety of online data, news and information sources;
- Essential technology skills and use of Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel)
