Registered Dietician, Child & School Nutrition - LAC Group
Location: USA - MD - Beltsville
LAC Group is seeking Registered Dietitians to provide subject matter expertise and program management on a childhood food and nutrition service team. The Specialist will be responsible for facilitating the planning, progression, and completion of nutrition-related projects for Child Nutrition programs. This position will assist with project initiation, planning, coordination, monitoring and oversight for a full portfolio of nutrition-related training and technical projects. This is an ongoing full-time (40 hours a week; Monday to Friday) benefited contract position.Responsibilities:
- Determining appropriate nutrition-related training, research, technical assistance projects, or services for child nutrition program operators.
- Developing, modifying, reviewing, or providing input on nutrition-related research, training, and technical assistance resource development plans, including creating project schedules and work plans.
- Monitoring and tracking all project activities, deliverables, and reports against established timelines and plans. Makes corrective recommendations to management if task areas fall off schedule.
- Utilizing technical nutrition expertise when reviewing project deliverables and providing substantive comments for improvement
- Assisting in the development of product/resource/training/research release promotion, outreach and communication plans
Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Dietitian with a graduate degree in the fields of dietetics, food, nutrition, food service management, public health, health education, or a related field.
- 4-7 years of project/program management. PMP certification desired.
- Minimum of 3 years working with FNS Child Nutrition Programs (e.g. National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, Child and Adult Care Food Programs, etc.)
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Sharepoint, and Excel)
- Demonstrated ability to implement accountability and project management tools to ensure high-quality, timely and cost-effect results.
- Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills
