Library Technician - LAC Group

Location: USA - DC - Washington DC

LAC Group is seeking Library Technicians to provide processing support of rare and semi-rare library materials for a major federal library in the Washington, D.C. area. The technicians will be responsible for supporting a retrospective inventory of law materials in non-English languages by updating and re-linking catalog records

Responsibilities:

• Technicians will work in the cataloging module of the Integrated Library System (ILS) re-linking and correcting minor omissions or errors and updating fixed field data and location information
• Technicians will perform physical processing in accordance with written instructions.
• Technicians will keep a record of all work performed.

Qualifications:

• At least one (1) year of experience working in law library with at least 500,000 volumes
• Foreign language proficiency in one or more language is preferred, including at least one of the following: Russian, Croatian, Serbian, Greek, Latin
• Experience with the Voyager ILS is preferred
