Library Services Platform - Systems Specialist - CCC Technology Center

Location: USA - CA - Sacramento

CCC Library Services Platform (LSP) Project

LSP Systems Specialist Position Description

On behalf of the 114 California community college libraries, the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO) and the CCC Technology Center (CCCTC) are engaged in a state-funded project to implement a single cloud-based Library Services Platform (LSP) to replace the various integrated library systems now in use in any of the 114 libraries which choose to participate. The CCCCO and the CCCTC have partnered with the Council of Chief Librarians, California Community College (CCL) to form the LSP project team, develop the project work-plan, complete the procurement process, engage with the vendor and provide project governance.

After an in-depth evaluation process in 2018, the Ex Libris Alma and Primo products were selected to serve as the systemwide LSP. Currently, eleven colleges are participating in a four-month Vanguard (pilot) phase, with the statewide implementation scheduled to begin in late January 2019. All participating schools (estimated to be 90-95, with confirmed participation finalized on October 31, 2018) will implement as a single cohort, beginning in late January 2019, with all sites going live in December 2019-January 2020.

  • Providing library-focused integration support.
  • Working with the various work groups to provide feedback on best-practices, suggested policy development and professional development support.
