Legal Assistant - LAC Group

Location: USA - CO - Denver

LAC Group is seeking an outstanding Legal Assistant with experience in both litigation and corporate/transactional law for placement at our client firm in Cherry Creek. The firm offers a competitive salary and benefits plus free parking!

Responsibilities: 

  •  Legal assistance for attorneys engaged in Corporate/Transactional and Litigation practices
  •  Maintain and organize paper and electronic files
  •  Scan and photocopy documents
  • Make travel arrangements
  • Maintain attorney calendars, coordinate meetings, calls and conferences
  • Draft supporting documents for set up of new clients and matters in the billing and electronic document storage systems.
  • Prepare correspondence, documents and presentations
  • Calculate and calendar deadlines
  • Initial preparation and drafting of basic corporate and transactional documents, such as Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, Minutes, Bills of Sale, Stock Assignments and miscellaneous certificates
  • Format, proofread, and finalize detailed correspondence and legal documents
  • E-filing with state and federal courts, Colorado Secretary of State and Clerk and Recorder's office
  • Perform general research and support activities to assist attorneys
  • Trial preparation

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience as a legal assistant, including corporate transactional law and litigation
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required; Paralegal certificate is a plus
  • Proficient with Word, Outlook, Excel, Workshare Compare, PowerPoint, and electronic document storage software programs
  • Advanced proficiency with timekeeping and billing software programs
  • Ability to transcribe dictation
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Able to meet deadlines under pressure
