The UC Davis Library is seeking an experienced strategic leader to serve as Head of the Blaisdell Medical Library (BML). BML supports the education, research, and clinical missions of UC Davis’s comprehensive academic health sciences center. The library serves a primary community of more than 20,000 faculty, staff, and learners from two medical and health sciences colleges (the UC Davis School of Medicine and the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing), as well as all hospitals and biomedical research institutes. BML is staffed by experienced personnel that provide instruction and research consultations, and access to electronic and physical collections.

The Library of the University of California, Davis, seeks a creative, collaborative, and enterprising librarian to lead the Blaisdell Medical Library (“BML” https://library.ucdavis.edu/location/blaisdell-medical-library/), the university’s biomedical library located in Sacramento, California. The Head of BML will lead the strategy and operations for BML, and work closely with health sciences professional students, residents and fellows, clinical and teaching faculty and staff, and institutional stakeholders in a diverse academic health sciences environment. Reporting to the Associate University Librarian for Research & Learning, the Head of BML will provide strategic and collaborative leadership of BML, plan for BML operations and services that reflect the needs of the UC Davis health sciences community, and create and strengthen dynamic partnerships with academic and administrative units to advance the university’s research, teaching, clinical, and public outreach initiatives.
