eResources/Technical Services Librarian - LAC Group

Location: USA - Virtual - Remote

LAC Group is seeking an eResources/Technical Services Librarian to support and administer our clients’ library applications and print collections. This position is responsible for providing exemplary service and support to assist end users in utilizing technology and accessing information resources. Assisting in the delivery of innovative solutions, communication on key information technology and knowledge resources. This is a full-time, benefited remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage all levels of accessibility to e-resources, login credentials, individual and firm wide, and IP authentication.
  • Ensure the use and distribution of e-resources conforms to signed agreements and copyright generally.
  • Provide support in reducing duplicative print resources, assist with the implementation of print to digital migration programs; work with attorneys and practice groups to reduce print resources.
  • Troubleshoot all issues with electronic resources and resolve problems experienced by legal and nonlegal staff; serve as a point of escalation for support and end user inquiries.
  • Participates in and coordinates orientation and training of new attorneys/staff as requested.
  • Coordinate cataloging processes for serials and electronic resources, enhance access to resources via the library's OPAC.
  • Library operational functions include, processing vendor invoices, interlibrary loan duties, checking in library material in firms ILS, maintaining print collection as requested.
  • Assist with electronic routing of publications and provide assistance with alerts troubleshooting as needed.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required. An MLIS degree (or in progress) is preferred.
  • 1-5 years of experience in a law library environment including experience with standard law library operations (including electronic resources, cataloging, and processing invoices), library systems (EOS, SydneyPlus and OCLC) and SharePoint.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate collaboration and teamwork.
