LibGig's Shameless Blu-Ray Giveaway And Tweet Fest!

Hey, Twitter fans!

You may already know that LibGig (almost) instantly tweets our new job postings - so if you "follow libgig_jobs" on Twitter, you can be among the very first to see when we add to our large list of career opportunities, including consulting gigs, internships and temporary assignments.

We want as many people as possible to know about this great service, so LibGig is giving away a Blu-Ray disc player, as described below.

To sign up for our Twitter alerts to receive instant announcements about opportunities and new beginnings, click here or the logo above and you'll go right to our Twitter page! All of our Twitter Followers as of 30 January 2009 (see below) will automatically be entered in this drawing.

UPDATE: AS OF 2 FEB 2009, OUR WINNER AS RANDOMLY SELECTED IS...

Eviolet !

Emily is a grad student at Rutgers in Library Science, and we will soon put up a profile.

Even if you did not get in under the wire - follow us on Twitter anyway! You'll be among the very first to see the new jobs we post!

The rules are simple:

  • Every one of our Twitter followers as of 30 Jan 2009 will be entered into a random drawing - We'll ship the winner a Samsung BD-P1500 Blu-ray Player!.
  • To be eligible, you must have a valid Twitter account and be following Libgig_jobs at 4PM EST ON Friday, 30 Jan 2009 (We'll contact you by Twitter Direct Message - so be sure you are actually reading your DMs, and that you're set up to receive messages from us - if your account is blocking us from DMing you, we'll try once and then move on to a second choice!) We'll take a series of screen shots of our follower pages at or around the deadline and come up with the master list of Twitter accounts for the drawing. It will be at LibGig's sole and total discretion to determine which account names qualify for the drawing. (In other words, if you snooze, you may lose! Sign up early!)
  • The winner must agree to let us use their Twitter Name as part of LibGig's promotional activities (that's so we can post it here!)
  • We'll post the winner's Twitter Name on this page on 3 February, 2009.
  • Be Honest! Don't create lots of Twitter accounts to spam the contest. In other words, Only one entry per (real) person is allowed!
  • Judges' decision (that's us) is final!
  • LibGig is giving away only one Blu-Ray player! LibGig's total obligation under this promotion is to provide one winner with one Blu-Ray Player (approximate retail value, US $200)! Once the drawing is over and the winner's name is announced on this web page, this deal is Over! Finito! Done!
  • We can only ship the Blu-Ray player to addresses inside the continental US.
  • The winner is completely responsible for taxes, and any other liabilities that may arise from the acceptance, receipt or use of the Blu-Ray player. (you know how these contests generally work. Don't trip over it! Don't drop it into a bathtub while it's plugged in! Don't watch a DVD while you're driving! IT WON'T BE OUR FAULT -- you have been warned!)
  • Corporate employees of Library Associates Companies, its respective affiliates and associates and such employees' immediate family members and persons with whom such employees are domiciled are excluded from this contest.
  • LibGig reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value at our option.
  • If this offer is not legal in your jurisdiction, you can't play and you can't win.
  • Besides the fact that LibGig loves Twitter, we have no connection with them or their corporate parent. Twitter and the Twitter Logo are the property of Twitter, Inc. They haven't approved of and aren't part of this promotion and are in no way involved with the prize process. Ditto with Samsung and with the Blu-Ray folks. All trademarks are the property of the respective owners, and LibGig makes no claim or infringement thereon. LibGig is a service mark of LibGig, LLC.

Don't miss out on this chance - start following libgig_jobs today and maybe you will be the lucky winner of this state of the art disc player.

At the very very worst, you'll be on the cutting edge of lots of new relevant job opportunities! Either way - Blu-Ray Player or Job News - You can't lose!
