Nominate 2009 Movers and Shakers

Library Journal has opened nominations for its 2009 Movers and Shakers.

The editors of Library Journal need your help in identifying the emerging leaders in the library world. Our eighth annual Movers & Shakers supplement will profile 50-plus up-and-coming individuals from across the United States and Canada who are innovative, creative, and making a difference. From librarians to vendors to others who work in the library field, Movers & Shakers 2009 will celebrate the new professionals who are moving our libraries ahead.

In my opinion, librarians don't do enough to recognize their own, and Movers and Shakers is one of the rare opportunities to do just that. Nominating someone- a colleague, a student, a supervisor, or a friend, is an important thing to do not just to recognize cool people you know, but to strengthen your own network. After all, who doesn't want to have a "Mover and Shaker" in your court?
