| Distance Ed | Although online courses are not offered, the Palmer School offers the MSLIS degree at four locations: C.W. Post Campus in Brookville Brentwood Campus in Brentwood on Long Island New York University's Bobst Library in Manhattan Long Island University's Westchester Graduate Campus at SUNY Purchase College Courses are taught on nights and weekends to accommodate those working fulltime while earning their degree. |
| ALA Accredited Degree (# credits) | 36 credits, 12 courses http://www.cwpost.liu.edu/cwis/cwp/cics/palmer/grad/mslis/index.html Full time students (9 credits/semester) can expect to finish the program in one academic year and a summer session. Students who attend part-time usually complete the degree in two and a half years. A concentration in Rare Books and Special collections is offered within the MSLIS. | Masters | The Palmer School offers a joint MLIS & MA program with the NYU Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Students can ear their MLIS through LIU while pursuing another graduate degree through NYU.
