| School Library Media Program/Certification | A Library Media Specialist program is offered within the MLS. Field experience and a Practicum course are required to earn this certification. http://www.gse.buffalo.edu/programs/lis/2/ A minimum of 39 credits are also required for this certification. |

| Continuing Ed | Offer “special student” status-Professional Librarians that may want to take courses in the advances studies certificate program are categorized as special students. Up to two classes per semester can be taken as a special student. Individuals not formally accepted into the MLS or the Advanced Studies Certificate Program, but taking coursework at LIS, may be admitted as Non-Degree Students. |
