There are 5 areas of concentration:
-Archives/Records Administration
-Library and Information Services
-Library and Information Services/School Media Specialist
-Information Management and Policy
-Information Systems and Technology
Masters A joint degree in MSIS and MA is offered-The MA can be in either English or History.
PhD Information Science PhD offered. Department of Informatics.
Certificates A certificate of Advances Study is offered for those who have already earned a Masters in Information and Library Science. A minimum of 30 credits of graduate study is required (exclusive of any coursework done to earn the MLIS).
School Library Media Program/Certification Two internships are required in the library and information
services/school library media specialist track: one in an elementary
school and one in a secondary school. One of the two internships must be
in a high-needs school.
In addition, 100 hours of supervised pre-internship field experience are
also required.

Internships Yes, an internship program is offered to students.
In order to complete the 3-credit internship, each student works for 150
hours in the host organization under the direct supervision of an
on-site mentor.

Internships are also required for the School Media Specialist Program

Mentor Programs Within the Internship program students are assigned an on-site mentor.
Additional Programs A variety of student organizations have been formed to offer support.
The school hosts several blogs within the Information and Library Science Field.
